Strange Appalachia

This week the Appalachian Preservation Project launched “Strange Appalachia,” a fine art “lomography” project intending to exhibit the oddities of Appalachia while also showcasing the fine art capabilities of 110 and half-frame cameras. All photos are taken by myself on 35mm half frame and 110 cameras.

This project will take us across Appalachia (and the south), capturing all manner of captivating people, buildings, iconography, and more.

It’s my hope that this project honors the region I call home and perhaps, if I’m lucky, sparks someone’s interest in extra-small format cameras.
